135 pounds - Undefeated and #1 ranked defending state champ Curtis Salazar is our favorite to win this weight. He'll have to get through some solid out of state competition and #2 ranked David Loomis (10-0) to do so. Colton Cassady, 3-0 on the season, will also challenge for top honors. Unranked Mike Despain, 11-2, Poudre, could make some noise. Out of state talent Joey Vossler, Cheyenne East WY (3rd at state), Michael Elliot, Robertson NM (3rd at state), Mie Brown, Strake Jesuit, TX (4th at state).
215 - pounds - Two state champs headline this weight, Andrew Garcia and AJ Hill from Riverton WY. These two could very well be on a collision course to the finals. Platte Valley's Reece Hopkin and Poudres Derek Whitman will look to be the spoiler for one of these two depending on seeding. Other out of state talent looking to medal will be Martin Dominguez a NM state runner up.
